| Freeport is the capital of Grand Bahama Island and the second largest of the cities in The Bahamas. It owes its tourist boom almost strictly to the development of Freeport and Lucaya, two side-by-side cities. Shop at the International Bazaar with almost 100 stores in which to find the perfect souvenir. You’ll find local Bahamian crafts as well as goods from all over the world. The Straw Market is another great place to shop, selling a wide variety of local crafts including all sorts of straw objects. |
