Grand Bahama Island offers over 60 identified and buoyed sites of shipwrecks off its southern coast, and blue holes (reserved for experienced divers) with up to 100 feet of visibility. Paradise Cove with Deadman’s Reef is one of the best places to snorkel on Grand Bahama. One of the reasons this area is so popular with locals and visitors alike is the fact that the reef is so close to shore that you can actually snorkel right off the beach. You won’t need the aid of a tour boat to take you out to a good spot- you can find it yourself!
Expect to see lots of brightly colored fish and other sea creatures on this reef, a favorite destination for return visitors. Half-Day excursions can be arranged from most of the hotels. |
